Burp cloths are available in two different styles:

1 - Premium cloth diaper (6-ply Gerber) burp cloth with selected fabric going vertical. It is approximately 14" x 19". You will love the thickness of this diaper! It is much more absorbent and softer than the standard diaper thickness. This is a great burp cloth for new infants as well as the babies that continue to spit up through their first year.

2- Soft burpie made of one side flannel and one side selected fabric. It is a simple curved design approximatly 10" x 16". The burp cloth is extremely soft and absorbent for the babies skin.
It is great small size and folds nicely for your diaper bag, purse, car, etc.

You can select the fabric of your choice for either style. Please indicate your fabric choice in the pay pal instructions.

Well, I had good intentions of thinking I would post a daily thought for the day. As you can see, I didn't get that done over the past two weeks. The reason, well, it wasn't laziness or idleness as you may think. It was because I was living life and trying to balance the many hats a mom has including starting this new business, being a mom, a wife, a friend and daughter.

The past two weeks, Mama Joy & Co (Mama Joy, Marty and GG) were busy planning new products, making inventory, product research and planning blog updates. Whew, are you tired yet. I was :-). In those two weeks, ALOT has happened in my family and friends' lives. This makes me reflect on the fact that just because something isn't visible or heard, it doesn't mean that you are invisible. Someone is always paying attention to what we do or don't do. Remember to priortize and get done what you can do based on what is important in your life today and tomorrow (do not dwell in the past).

I'm not going to promise to provide a new thought daily, but I do want to blog often (as long as it doesn't interfere with my priorities...loving God, my husband, my children, family, friends, and work).

TGIF&W- Thank God it is Friday and the weekend!! Who else is thinking that?

Everyday is a good day as long as you choose it to be. . . this is probably a better thought for the middle of the week (or Thursday's in my case). However, I needed it today/tonight.

So, who feels like an overtired, unappreciated person (notice I didn't say woman). We are moms, wives, friends, sisters and daughters who at times don't even feel like ourselves unless we choose to. So, put on your happy face, take a bath, cut your nails or whatever else it that makes you feel better....so you can be the woman that God wants you to be...to be the wife, the mom, the friend or daughter that you want to be. Don't let the mundane tasks, circumstances or thoughts get in the way.

This weekend, we are taking the family and getting away. I'm excited to spend quality time as a mom and wife. Right now, I feel like a big burp cloth, milk truck and 'no' natsi. However, I'm going to rid myself of these and remember who I am and be that person.

Thank goodness for mess free Crayola markers and paint. When my two year old refused a nap today (after crying for over an hour and a half), he wanted to color. Of course, I wasn't up for real markers or paint. So, I gave him the 'magic' markers that I trusted to be safe for my house. If you have ever used these markers, you know that the color appears a few seconds later (and the paint takes even longer). For a two year old, the time seems alot longer than it does for us. If he had given up and needed the instantaneous results, he would have had nothing.

By doing nothing, your outcome is assured....trust and something beautiful may happen.

Of course, most nursing cover fabrics are available for burp cloths as well! If you see a burp cloth material that you want in a nursing cover...just ask!!!

Burp cloths are available in two different styles:

1 - Traditional cloth diaper (Gerber premium 6-ply) with selected fabric sewn vertically along the center of the diaper.

2 - Soft Burpie made with one side extra soft flannel and the other side the fabric of your choice. It is a nice curved design approximately 10" x 16".

Most fabric is available for any style. Request and we will confirm availability.

Dream about tomorrow, but live for today.

Monday's are always hard for me. As it is the beginning of the work week (for me it is my husband leaving me with two kids and most of the time they are screaming at the same time). I seem to want to start completing everything on my to do list NOW or wanting to escape (where can I find a sitter :)). Instead, I need to remember to take time for the hug from my husband and kids. Enjoy the quality time watching Curious George or rocking one to sleep. Enjoy the silence. Enjoy the laughter. Or best yet, enjoy the asking for mommy. There will be a time when they want nothing to do with me.

Embrace your life and enjoy it the moment.

Recipe tip of the day . . .sneaking veggies

Do you ever feel like you can't get your toddler (or yourself in my case) to eat veggies? Try sneaking pureed vegetables into your favorite mac and cheese recipe or microwave meal. I have found that I can sneak steamed butternut squash, regular squash, cauliflower or carrots into any mac and cheese dish. I also use the elbow macaroni that is whole wheat and my toddler eats it up. It is a regular in my house. Below is a sample recipe for my mac and cheese:

1 box of cooked elbow macaroni (whole wheat or multi-grain)
2 - 3 cups of cheddar cheese (I mix sharp and mild)
1 cup of milk (use more or less according to how creamy you want it)
3 T of flour
1 T butter
1/2 cup of your favorit pureed veggie (butternut squash is my favorite)...if you don't have time to puree use store bought baby food.
salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter in medium saucepan
Add flour and stir lightly
Add milk and cheddar cheese (you can cut up block cheese or have it grated)
Stir until completely melted
Add the cooked elbow macaroni

I freeze half of this and have it on hand for later.
